My lovely lovely people!
It has been a little over a year since I started this newsletter. I find so much joy and purpose coming up with a new prompt for you every week, and so many amazing things have come out of it. An amazing community of people, a whole set of workshops, a monthly magazine, and much more. Thank you so much for supporting me on this ride. I'm loving every minute of it, and you'll hopefully join me for the next 12 months.
But first!
It is time for a vacation!!! Me and my family will be travelling over the next weeks, during which I will bring you a special vacay-version of this newsletter: The Stress Less Pencil Travel Diaries.
I love the practice of visual travel diaries, taking time to pause and really focus on the surroundings that you're discovering. Marking them down on paper, to remember them much longer than any phone snapshot. But I'll be honest, I've not been very good or consistent with this in the past.
So each week while we're on the road, I'll share my sketches with you, and hopefully inspire you take in all your wonderful moments of this young summer.
Part I - Flowers in the Garden
Well, I'm not on holidays yet. We'll be leaving next week, but summer has come to Sweden, we've been spending our days at the beach, the water is warm enough to swim, our faces are sticky with watermelon juice, and there's sand everywhere. So it very much feels like the holiday has already started.
To kick this series off, I have sketched the plants that are currently blooming in my garden: lavender, coral bells, and buttercups.
I'll see you on the road.
Love, Lorena
