Happy New Year, and welcome back to The Stress Less Pencil! As we step into a fresh new year, it's the perfect time to infuse our days with new flavors of creativity. I’m Lorena, here to spice up start of the year with a pinch of imagination.

Today, we're taking our creative journey into the heart of the home: the kitchen. Cooking is an art form, a delicious dance of flavors, textures, and colors. And what better way to start the New Year than by creating a culinary masterpiece?

Your challenge today is to cook something new, something you've never tried before. It could be a dish from a different culture, a recipe you’ve always wanted to try, or even your unique creation. The key here is to experiment and have fun with it.

As you cook, pay attention to the process – the chopping, the stirring, the seasoning. Each step is an act of creation. Remember, there are no mistakes in the creative kitchen, only lessons and discoveries.

And here’s a twist – as you create your dish, think about how it reflects your hopes and aspirations for the new year. Are you aiming for something bold and adventurous? Comforting and nurturing? Your dish can be a symbol of the year you wish to manifest.

I want to be more frugal and healthy this year, so I made a big pot of veggie soup.

As famous chef Julia Child said, 'Cooking is like love; it should be entered into with abandon or not at all.' So, abandon your fears and embrace the joy of cooking.

Share your culinary creations and their significance with us on Instagram or Substack, and let’s start this year with taste, creativity, and joy.

Next episode, we’re stepping out of the kitchen to go outside on a creative walk. Until then, I’m Lorena, wishing you a year filled with delicious adventures and creative delights.
