Hi and welcome back to The Stress Less Pencil, where we find creative warmth, even on the chilliest, rainiest days. I'm Lorena, here to share a cup of inspiration as we weather the storms together and find our creative rainbow.
We’re reaching the end of January, and the weather here in Sweden is gray and rainy. And, I’ll be honest with you, it can feel a bit depressing.
So today, let's turn the gray weather into our canvas for creativity. Your challenge is to embrace the rain, not just as a backdrop for your day but as a muse for your art.
Start by finding a comfortable spot where you can watch and listen to the rain. Notice how it dances on the windows, the rhythmic sounds it makes, and the fresh scent that lingers after each downpour.
Now, with the rain as your soundtrack, take a moment to reflect and create. You can write a poem inspired by the rain's melody, sketch the scene outside your house, draw the raindrops on your window, or even capture the mood through photography. Let the gray palette and the steady beat of the raindrops inspire you.
As you create, remember this: Just like the weather, our creative journey has its seasons. Some days are sunny and full of color; others are rainy and introspective. Each day, each mood, brings its own shade of inspiration.
And as January winds down, let's acknowledge the resilience we've shown, the creativity we've nurtured, and the growth that's waiting just beyond the clouds.
Share your rainy day creations with us on Instagram and Substack, an let's celebrate the beauty of persistence and the art that comes from embracing every kind of day.
In our next episode, we'll hopefully look ahead at the promise of spring and the fresh burst of creativity that brings. Until then, I’m Lorena, reminding you that there’s no rainbows without rain.
